CMP South will host any and all visitors who would like to come and observe the operation and volunteer their time and labor and see for themselves what is really going on instead of relying on third hand (and usually inaccurate or incomplete) information. CMP will accept volunteer labor and have had several M1 collectors come down and work a few days cleaning Cosmoline off rifles, sorting parts, and disassembling M1s. To date all who have assisted have had a good time. They need is at least a week's advance notice so that they can make the necessary security arrangements. Working conditions are relatively primitive, but all are welcome.
