  • Open Reception: A time to meet old friends and tell tall stories.

  • Bus Tour: We will visit the WORLD famous Colt Collection and see vintage WW11 aircraft museum with over 70 WWII Warbirds on display.

  • SANHS Reception: Held in the SANHS Museum. We will have an opportunities to visit  the "GUN ROOM", and have your photo taken with, #1,2,3,  M1 Garand Rifles, plus a special Garand display.

  • Talk Back Breakfast: A chance to ask questions of the "Editors and the Board of Directors".

  • Annual Awards Banquet: A great speaker, awards, and good fellowship.

 

Our Guest Speaker: Major Dick Culver, USMC (Ret.)

The featured speaker at the GCA Annual Awards Banquet  will be Richard "Dick" Culver of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. A brief summary of Dick's Credentials follows:

Dick Culver is a retired Major of the USMC. During his USMC tenure, Dick served as a rifle company commander and an Bn. Intelligence Officer in Vietnam ('66 thru '68). He later served as an Operations Officer (S-3) for an Infantry Bn, a Recon Bn and an Infantry Training Bn. He served as a team leader in Parachute Pathfinder Platoon with the 1st Force Recon Company. and as an instructor in a variety of USMC schools. Dick was also the OIC of numerous  base rifle and pistol teams, and a shooting member of the Marine Corps Rifle and Pistol Team on a number of occasions.

Major Culver ran the USMC Rifle, Pistol and International teams from '76 thru '78 and was the founder of the USMC Scout Sniper Instructor School at Quantico Va. with Carlos Hathcock and Jack Cuddy in 1977.

Although his shooting and shooting instruction experiences are too numerous to list here, are some notable accomplishments are: Director of Operations (CMP) '97 -'98, Founder and President, Northwest Firearms Training Center '80- to present. Contract Firearms Instructor for Idaho POST Academy, Founding member of IPSC and is a Special Deputy Sheriff of the Bonner County Idaho Sheriffs Dept.
