I realize that I may be persona non grata here but I will ask that you read this post. I am selling my collection basically because the job market south MS is not doing so well. I have a 1943 M1 with the lock bar sight and a shot out 1948 barrel, as well as a 1903 mark I, with a 8-44 barrell that drives tacks. on top of that I have RRA lower on an M-4 upper with a 16 inch barrell.
Any word on value would be appreciated

Can't give you a value, but it is very sad that you have to sell.

Job market is getting worse and some prices are falling. Good luck on your sales.

Ditto what John said about appraisal as well as my sympathies about your situation.

There is no telling what anything is close to being worth sight unseen. Even a hands-on can only get you a ballpark estimate. Their market value is very dependent in what your local market will bear. People with the cash can afford to be fussy on price/condition and dealers who are stuck with slow moving inventory are only offer low-ball amounts. You may have to take a loss on one and make it up with another if possible.

One thing you can try is to follow some on-line auctions of rifles in similar condition on Gunbroker and Auction Arms and see how high they go. Ignore the ones with really high starting bids that no one bids on. My 2 cents. Good Luck.
