~~REQUEST HELP ~~ to Identify M1 Garand Tool

If anyone can help me identify this M1 Garand tool I would appreciate any help. I have checked with both Pyle & Ricca and both were unable to provide any help or suggestions where to get help.
This tool is approx 4-1/4 inches long, 1/2 inch in dia and appears to be used as a punch or pening tool as the rear end shows evidence of being struck by a hammer.
It is marked/stamped as follows...

Group C would be the Op rod /gas piston which is a min. .525. It looks more like a reamer than a punch, though it may have been used as such before you bought it. It may also be a swage to expand the op rod so the piston would fit tight.
