As we all know some aftermarket mags are not all that great. In fact, many just don't work. I know Triple K has been around a long time. They make a 15 rd. mag for the P-38 which, being a silly bugger, I want to use for 3-gun shooting (well, at least ONCE...). They are $35 each, and are special order only, 120 day wait. So my question is, what kind of rep. do Triple K mags have? Eh wot?
so so @ best, from what I remember. I avoid non factory made mags, unless for practice only & they gotta be cheap too.

Surplus P38 & P1 mags are available @ $15 to $20 each. Just type P38 pistol magazine into your search engine text window and hit 'go'.

Sorry, I missed the bit about wanting a 15 round mag. I haven't a clue in that regard but I do agree with Gimp. Triple K's feedback on the various boards has been overall less than spectacular. At $35 each I too would certainly want a lot of opinions before forking over for a trio of them.
Have you tried asking on any of the German pistol or milsurp handgun forums?
*I took a peek at MecGar's web site but didn't see any P38 mags at all.

Actually I tried on the P-38 forum and did scrounge one up for $40. No maker's name... It was suggested that this is an old magazine from the 1960's from a "Man from UNCLE" conversion kit someone made back then. It's rough looking; almost looks home-made, but it does work, or at least it has fed two full mags with FMJ's. I would like one more.
It's a terrific forum!
