Stevens double with ordnance bomb mark.

A friend owns a Stevens double barrel, 12guage (26 " or 28" mod and full chokes) with the ordnance bomb stamp on, I believe, the top, left portion of the frame behind the barrel. It appears to be a model 530A with the light engraving of a bird dog and a checkered pistol grip. It is not marked with model number or serial number . Condition is about 80%. She is curious to know more about it should anyone be able to shed any more light on the subject. Thanks, EP

many of these were hunting shotguns, that were supplied to state hunting clubs, you could use one the supplied guns, if you belonged to the hunting club...
they did this to Model 70,s Remington 721,s , Remington Model 81.s and many other rifles and shotguns.
