What do you guys think about this one? I've been looking for one, but just can't seem to find one. http://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?182882-WTS-1896-Krag-Carbine-**Rough-Riders-Serial-Range**. Thanks, Hopefully the link will work

Though advice can be a good thing, I don't think you should have linked to it. Why? Because in the past there's been people here jumped in on a deal. I'd get better pics of the rear sight, just saw a 96 carbine sight bring $427 on ebay. With luck, nobody will muscle in on the deal and ruin it for you.

"Rough Rider serial number range" is a red herring. Guns were not issued or distributed in numerical order. Unless it has an SRS hit on it, there is no way to prove it was anywhere near Teddy Roosevelt.....

Read down to the end of the thread - sounded like some funny business going on and the moderator locked the thread. Looked to me like the guy listing the carbine figured a way to sell it for more than the asking price. I think I would stay far away.

95 dated reciever with 97 dated stock? I think the moderator locked the thread cause the guy was being evasive, he told him not to come back!
