View Full Version : Need a couple of Johnson rifle parts
Hello,
I need a front sling swivel assembly and bayonet lug for my 1941 Johnson rifle. Can anyone name a source?
Also, my rear sight has had a long V-notch filed through the top into the aperture. Is this a legitimate modification, or did Bubba strike somewhere in the past?
Contact Joe Scott from the Houston (TX) Gun Collectors Association. He has the remedy to all your needs. I have his number but don't have permission to post it here in an open forum. You can also go to:
http://johnsonautomatics.com/messageboard/index.php?act=idx and contact him there.
I went to the link you have posted and cannot see how to contact Joe Scott. I am in need of a front site for my rifle and would like to contact him. any help would be great.

Try this...omit NOSPAM .....jmscottparts@NOSPAMgmail.com
Chris
"...front sling swivel..." $3.55 for the swivel from Gunparts. 'Swivel & Link Assembly, Front' is sold out. Bayonet lugs are sold out too. They won't be easy parts to find either. Not very many Johnsons made and not for very long. Only about 30,000.
"...long V-notch filed..." Bubba. Done by twits who don't know how to use peep sights. M1 Rifle rear sights have been buggered like that too.
