Front sight cover

I bought a front sight cover that uses the screw. It is absolutely in new condition. So much so that I was wondering if reproductions are being made. Comments?

Not that I am aware of, I have several that are flat new looking and believe while many were made they were not an item of automatic issue.
They were requested perhaps more by shooters for the target shooting season. also not very easy to fix bayonetts with it in place.

I've owned several of these over the years and they all looked in as new unissued condition and there was no doubt about there authenticity.I believe Joe DeChristopher still has them in as new unissued condition for sale.These are still a pretty common item.
