Here is the chance to really whip wsfbernie. In 1982 I owned a Parkhurst device Krag I had
bought in Mass. about 1973. Yes, the mag was proper as was the stock cartouche. When
I was transferred to Denver(Business), the stock (through my negligence as a young person) broke
at the wrist. I attempted to repair it but was never really satisfied. I traded it off for a very
nice M1896 (with matching bayo, that I have to this day). I gave up a really rare rifle
for what I wanted (a Spanish-American war rifle). Krags are not my forte', but I really have
a guilt trip about letting that one go. Heck, I have plenty of what could be called rarities,
but that one I felt was just learning or stupid. Make me feel better or just rub it in.l

I have two types of rifles - those which, if I accidentally add a dent to them, I won't mind and those I will. The former are better than the latter in that regard as I don't have to worry about handling them.

You've had 28 years of opening the safe and not saying to yourself, upon seeing the rifle, "I wish I hadn't of done that."

I bought a car, new, 13 years ago. 3 years ago I gave it to my brother and he still has it. I saw that car last weekend and the first dent that car received, passenger rear quarter, is still there. Still made me wince a little. I'm kind of glad I don't see that every morning.

Bernie,

It's just another one that got away. I got plenty of those, too. Look ahead: every few years, if you take the time, kep your eyes and ears open and your mouth shut, you'll run acros something really astounding. Firearms-wise or otherwise. Good luck!
