Had a couple of chores to do so I went up yesterday morning and came back this afternoon.

Driving up yesterday morning I had to make a quick detour into the hills.

Picked up this fellow, but made a mistake. I put it in the back of the truck with Sasha, where I thought she couldn't get it. Well went I went to clean it, Sasha had it half eaten. That's a bad dog, I tell ya.

Later in the day after chores I headed up behing the cabin and ran into Mama.

Notice one cub is brown and the other black.

You put a nice plump bird in the back of the truck with a hungry dog?;)

I thought that I had tucked it away, but that mutt out smarted me again.:icon_redface:

I did pick up a few more later in the afternoon after I had done my chores and a couple more yesterday morning before I had to come home.

How far were you from "Mama"? I would think she would keep herself between you and the cubs?

I'm guessing 150 - 200 yards. I had the camera zoomed right out. She didn't seem to be too concerned about staying in between me and the cubs.

I think she was mostly interested in Sasha who was whining in the back of the truck.
