View Full Version : Where xcan I find al list of weights by pound for empty brass?
I'd like to weigh rather than individually count the brassI have.
I've not seen such a list. Weigh 10 cases of each caliber & scale up. A .30-06 case, in round numbers = 200 gr and 7000 ÷ 200 = 35 cases/lb.
You will have a problem with that.
Brass from different manufacturers have differnt weights and then throw into the mix military brass - even heavier.
i RELIED on 100 counts for my estimate,,using comm and mil separate to decide that way I could add to the total to get a bakers dozen for each one when using priority mail boxes
Weigh a case (in grains), divide 7000 by that number and Voila....you've got your number per pound! Ain't math grand!
2571, if you have to weigh it you have an excrement load. John's arithmetic(isn't even math) will be close though.
John's arithmetic(isn't even math)
The manipulation is arithmetic...the formula is algebraic (a/b=c), therefore math it am! Sorry...couldn't resist!
