Barrel id 1911

I was looking at a 1911 made in 1917 that appears original in all ways except that the top of barrel on the chamber area is marked P-R instead of the usual marking. Can anyone Id this marking ? Thanks

Gbear, are the "P" & "R" vertically stacked[from muzzle to chamber] or are they interlocked"?. Is it possible that the "R" is actually an "H"?Pics would really help to ID that barrel. Regards, Nick
