I didn't evaluate the price one way or another only posted on it since I never saw one like it before.

I saw that type of M1 in one of my reference books or possibly a GCA Journal.

I hate to say it but this may not be a bad price. This is only the second one I have seen pictures of and if I remember right less than 10 have been imported to the U.S.. Rick B

Someone needs to tell him how the cow eats the cabbage.

Would this be assembled with all "PB" parts?

Rick B

not if when imported these parts did not pass inspection. I have many of the tags from imports where they went over each and every rifle and replaced parts. This very well may be exactly what happened to this one. Rick B

Anyone take a look at the guys other auctions? Only 10 grand for a Marine Corps MC-1! If only I had a little more spare change!

He's trolling for suckers.

Really? You have seen North Yemen Beretta M1s sell for less?

It sold for $1800 in a later auction.

Worth it?

Also strange:

The op-rod and trigger housing on the auction Beretta Yemen M1 are SA, and if you read the GCA article that is referenced in the auction, the rifle examined in it also had all PB parts EXCEPT for the SA op-rod and trigger housing.

Any ideas?

If you are willing to pay that price for a North Yemen mixmaster, I'll leave it up to the readers to decide which one of us is an idiot.

You are very wrong Bill. There are maybe 7 of these in the U.S. Rick B

He's trolling for suckers.

He may have been trolling with that first listing(very old auction link in OP) but it did sell for a very reasonable $1800 bid. Someone got a very cool variant for a very decent price. Wish I had seen it,I would have got in on the action for that price.:1948:
