The gunsmith J. Bushnell Smith died in 1948 when five such 150 lb containers ignited in a massive deflagration, killing him instantly. He had the containers stacked in a room adjacent to his shop. While working on a rifle that had a defective sear and with a live round in the chamber, the rifle discharged, the bullet hit a drum which instantly ignited. That's a lot of BTUs there!
