There's one of those Russian Women soldiers with an 03 and 1907 sling!!??? Posed on the docks at Murmansk... an armed guard handed over his gun for the picture? Sling is in parade position....

I read somewhere that of ALL Russian males born in 1923 (the group called up for military service in 1941) over half were dead by 1945. Then, of course, many of the survivors had suffered disabling injuries.
