Winchester model 75

I wolud like to know what years did the goverment purchase them. Ser. # range& type of finish&
sights that were used.

From Batha’s book: Military production 1941-1943. First contract 1,500 rifles (January 16, 1941). Over 10,000 completed that year. Total Quantity: 16,937 Finish: commercial blue or parkerized during depot overhaul. Sights: blade front dovetailed into barrel and Lyman 57E rear sight.

there was a member on the old forum that was running a spread sheet of military 75's,
my 75 is on that list, parked with (IIRC, too tired to dig it out the safe) redfield sights,
plain oil finish stock,

much more 'plain' than a latter production 75 I have with great blue and a nice laquered stock, but both shoot the same, better than I do
