I have a question about Canadian issue holsters for the Hi Power pistol. I have a Pattern 51 holster and it has a metal liner in the magazine pouch, and I have a Pattern 82 holster that has a plastic liner in the magazine pouch. I just purchased a new condition Pattern 64 holster (they are hard to find) and it has no liner in the magazine pouch and shows no indication of ever having had a liner. Did the Pattern 64 holster not have a liner in the magazine pouch, or do I have a holster that has a manufacturer flaw? If it is supposed to have a liner should it be metal or plastic? Thanks!

I used one when I was in the Army and there was no liner in it.

I have others but not a Pattern 64. Just got done checking Clive Law's book and that is silent on it. You might check Stephen Camp's "Handguns and HiPowers" website which is very good on BHPs.
