Am gonna be flying in to Atlanta in Nov. Thought I'd allow some time for a trip to Anniston. If I purchase a Garand during that visit, do they ship it, or do I have to take it with me?

Yes, they will ship. They will even delay shipment a few days so you will be home when they get there if you wish.

Paying the CMP shipping charges is cheaper than paying AL state sales tax required if you walk out of the store with the rifle, and you don't need to lug it with you in the airport. I plan on doing the same next week.:headbang:

Bought a couple rifles at Camp Perry this year, had them shipped and they almost beat me home and with a lot less trouble since I had a full load in my truck without the rifles.

I have driven to the South Store; even when driving it's usually easier and cheaper to have it shipped.
