View Full Version : M1 Carbine Ammo
Purchased a couple of bandoleers of Carbine ammo the other day. It is on stripper clips and loaders, its all headstamped LC 1952 and twenty rounds of tracer ammo. I was wondering if the worth hanging on to, or go head and shoot it. Thanks

I think it is great ammo and I shoot it I have 15 bandoleers left ITSHTF it would be good to have around. I shoot up my boxed ammo first
I'd save it. Haven't seen any for sale in quite a while.

The Red Chinese made some berdan primed corrosive .30Carb headstamped "LC52"
I'd pull one bullet from each type and confirm it's USGI (boxer primed)
Then I'd shoot it up. Ammo is for shootin' :63:
If you were thinking of keeping it as a SHTF stash you'd probably be better off with new handloads made with a more effective bullet than 110gr FMJ. A web search should turn up ways to seal the cartridges; I've read fingernail polish or superglue work pretty well.
