I bought an Inglis from the family of a Canadian Colonel and this ammo came with it... I have been told that it is "hot". Possibly subgun ammo?????

I think you will find it's standard Canadian made ball ammo made to NATO spec. Good stuff and your Inglis Hi-Power was made to take the sub-gun ammo if I remember correctly.

The CF used the same ammo in both the Sterling SMG and the Inglis.
DA is Dominion Arsenals. Good stuff. Far better than the later IVI ammo. Not quite collector ammo but you won't get any more. It was likely stolen too. Relax. Nobody is looking for it.
