Hey Guys
Not exctly a military shotgun question, but since I'm planning on building a replica Mdl 11 riot gun, it kind of is .....
I picked up a Mdl 11 12 guage today - plain, uncheckered wood, game scenes (pheasant on one side, duck on other), bolt says MODEL 11.
Serial number is 8122XX, located under REMINGTON on the duck side.
Barrel code is EUU3, 26" modified choke.
My question is this - the Remington site states tht the Model 11 was manufactured through 1947, and shows an ending serial number for that year in the 700,000 range.
I believe that EUU indicated October 1949, and my serial number is obviously later than that shown on the Remington site - what gives?
Thanks!
