Around summer of 1943 roughly.

I agree with the identification provided by ScottR. If either of these hammers is currently excess to your needs, I would be interested in buying them -- I have several carbines just waiting for these exact parts!

NPM used that type hammer from roughly March 1943 through November 1943.

Grand Rapids use of the "Fat Boy" hammer was concentrated around the August to October 1943 time frame.
