Is this fake GAW

I'm new to the M1 world. I'm in process of buying my first one. I've picked up a lot of info on what to look for. I'm looking at a SA with 5/44 receiver and matching barrel. seller sent me a pick and told me the stock was not original. Can anyone tell me if these stamps look original or fake?

Yeah the stock looks like a boyds, or something close to it. Since it has the original barrel, and a set of lockbar sights. If he has a decent price on it, I would still consider it. Especially if a lot of the ther other parts are correct.

GAW stocks were the most common, so the easiest to find. I've seen several that looked legit and were nice, sell for $200-$250.

All SA correct parts except for post war SA bolt and oprod. $850 with lockbars or $750 without (later model sight instead)

That's not too bad on the price as long as the barrel isn't shot out. If the barrel is still good, I don't think he's too far off.

The correct bolt depending on the serial number, would probably be $60 to $80. It's probably a 12SA S04 or S01. The op rod is probaly a 9sa curved side, one that is uncut is about $150, or a cut one is probably a $100-125. And then the price of the stock. But then you could sell your old parts to recoop some of the funds.

Or if you don't care about numbers matching, get it and just enjoy shooting it.

Yeah I don't think it's too far off on price as long as that barrel guages good.

CMP service grade rifles are $600 plus shipping and it's the luck of the draw. Some are absolutely beautiful, some aren't. Plus it's very hard to find cmp rifles from WWII with their original barrels anymore. And I doubt any come with the original lockbar sights. So if you want a WWII gun with it's original barrel and lockbar sights, you will have to pay a little more.
