Hi Guys,

Went to the North Store this weekend to get a Winchester. Most of the rack and field grade rifle's wood were not of a restore-able quality (it is serviceable though I guess), so I went into the woodless aisle. I found a 2.43 mil Winchester with mostly SA parts with the exception of the trigger housing, being WRA. It also has Greek Black park over everything, and was very well done (the compelling reason I picked this one over a 2.3 mil WRA right next to it with very little finish left.)

Anyhoo, this gun will be converted to .308, which is why I didn't pay too much attention to the barrel. The barrel is a HRA dated "HRA-11-51 P" on the right side, and the top is marked D6535448-40 RS 1 (at least I think it's a 1, it's poorly struck and not the same font as the other characters) , then a diamond, then after the step, a number 7 turned 90 degrees from the rest of the text.

I dunno if this is an early HRA replacement barrel or not. If you guys want some pics before I get rid of this barrel (TE=7 and MW=3+) let me know. Other than the bad TE and MW, there is some pitting at the end of the barrel. I dunno why the Greek's refinished this barrel/reciever combo, but they did good work....
