View Full Version : New addition to my living room
Well, the girlfriend said she likes it but she has only seen pics. Hopefully she doesn't change her mind in person. Then again, She is the one who told me the fireplace had to have swords and a shotgun over the mantle and 75mm training shells in front....lol

My wife had a real problem when I put my mounted large mouth bass on the wall in our house. I could only imagine what she would do if were to display my collection like you did. Your a lucky man.

I am pretty sure she will. But I am working on my own little armory in the shed so Most of the guns will go in there. I have another 40-50 Arisakas to find proper storage for.

I already have a Japanese cavalry saddle as a footrest, if that didn't set her off then she can't complain too much about this...lol

I'm not too sure if dis-similar metals maybe a problem but I think it would be a question worth asking an expert, Very nice collection.

KTK I don't think it will be a problem. They will get moved around enough I can check for discoloration/wear/rust. I will probably end up Duracoating all the hooks anyways. Eventually I hope to have a nice secure climate controlled armory, but that won't be till spring atleast.
I see your going to need to find some lamp parts and a junk 7.7 rifle with a bayonet and helmet , put them all together for more lighting :)

Actually, I was given a barreled receiver and I just bought a sportered stock for $10 I may have to consider that....lol
Use shrink tube on the hooks...it is cheaper and it is a thick rubber cusion when dried

I just dust them for now. I need to get into reloading so I can afford to shoot them. I prefer enfields when it comes to shooting.

To the Gods NO, I love them lamps , and would like to have one someday, Thanks for the picture:)
They make a ruberized dip for pliers and such that I have used on hooks before. Works real nice. Just dip the hook in and let it dry. Covers the metal. Available in a couple of different colors.

Thanks, But I am Duracoating guns for money on the side so it is actually more feasable to just duracoat them. I can pick a color that will blend in and the cost won't be as bad since I can just use the leftovers. Once you mix duracoat it has to be sprayed.
