View Full Version : F.D.L. Wondersight
This F.D.L. Wondersight was installed on this S&W Model 1915 Type 2 around 1960 (cost was $4.95 in 1960) You had to remove the top screw from the sideplate to install the rear sight which
had both windage and elevation in one minute clicks. On Colt revolvers you had to drill and tap to install.9972997399749975

I remember seeing those advertised in the "gun rags" years ago and I've seen a few revolvers with them added a gunshows. They apparently were not well received but it looked like a good idea. Maybe poor marketing, quality, or cost were problems.Nick

Most likely a poor idea on a "working" gun. With adjustable sights,a revolver's shape, and a high center of gravity; there is practically a guarantee that a dropped weapon will land on the area of the rear sight/hammer and given a hard surface things are going to break or distort.
