:eusa_wall: Has anyone who shoots black powder pistols noticed that they are costing almost as much as a new revolver nowadays? Went onto the Cheaperthandirt web site an saw the ( to me ) over priced itie pistols. The same is with almost all of the other sites that sell repo bp pistols. Or is this an attempt too disarm everyone of everything that goes BANG?

The shrinking American dollar doesn't help either. If you are interested in black powder pistol shooting, I would try and find one of the Ruger Old Army pistols, as it is not a repro of anything, and an excellent shooter.

All the C&B pistols are made overseas. The dollar to Euro rate as well as shipping costs is the cause for a lot of the price increases.

ditto Johnny P's advice concerning the Ruger Old Army, it truly is as strong as they come for percussion pistols. If you take care of it, it'll last for generations to come.

agree with JB's assessment too, on why imported weapons, ammo etc are going up in price.
