7.62mm Israeli

I think that back in the early 1960's some of the 7.92mm Israeli was reforumed to 7.62x51mm.
Photos show some 7.92mm and 7.62mm,106451064610647 note the extractor groove on the 7.62mm.

Anyone have additional information ?
