This ought to be a hit for Ruger.

Probably won't be a convertible model with an extra cylinder available that will chamber the .22 WMR; just not enough room in the cylinder walls to accomodate the .22 magnum.

I wonder how long it will take for them to get in the distribution channels. We have had folks asking about and wanting us to order the Ruger M1911 for months. A distributor called us today and stated they had ONE and we could have it. OH BOY !!!! Why don't they have several dozen ???? I remember the .308 Nato version of the "mini-14" that they advertised for 2 years in the gun rags. Still haven't seen one. They never released it for sale. That was a LONG time ago.

Just don't hold your breath waiting for one.............

FWIW,

Why does Ruger do this? I remember years ago when they were saying they had the alternative to the Beretta 92F and I waited months for them to produce. My gun dealer and I both gave up and moved on.
Must be something in the Ruger culture.

Hi, Ruger has a motto. " Let's advertise it. If there's any interest maybe we'll make it" Regards, Mike
