Bushnell Sportview

I dug out my old Bushnell Sportview 3X9-38 scope that has hidden in the gun closet for too many years without use. The Magnification ring is all but frozen up. I have noticed that as the temp has risen it becomes a little more adjustable but by no means smooth.
I have no paperwork to get factory adjustments but wonder if anyone has tried lubricating one from the outside.

I contacted an outfit called Binomedic in California that works on vintage spotting scopes. Send them an email - they may be able to clean and relube with a modern lube that doesn't harden up. CC
