Was wondering what y'all though of this.

Its just an auction I came across that had started at $15 so I got to watching it, figured if it was only going to sell for a few bucks I'd go ahead and pick it up as I just might have a 16ga Remington 11-48 one day... ya never know. Price got up there and its not something I "need" so I just let it go. Had noticed and forgot to mention earlier… does it appear there is a military "flaming bomb" ordnance stamp on that barrel?

If so, why would it be on a 16ga barrel for a Remington 11-48? Did the military ever use these shotguns? And in 16ga?

Thanks

That is not a military marking. Just one of Remingtons many odd shaped symbols they use.
