Man Ramon, you've got all sorts of treasures stashed away. I wasn't aware of this Hatcher book, though I have his notebook.

I spent my youth reading their works along with others like Serven, Cooper, Askins, O'Connor, Johnson, Keith, and so on. There weren't all that many gun books--so I read them well and often.

Among the items I actively look for in the overall umbrella of things that go bang are books.

I love firearms literature. It sometimes saddens me when many of the new generation don't know the names of the giants upon whose shoulders we stand on today. Men like Niedner, Hudson, Sharpe, Naramore, Waite, Hatcher, et.al.

Among my treasures is this gem.

This is "The Book of the Garand" by Hatcher. This example was personally inscribed by Hatcher and given to Phil Sharpe. The book bears marginalia in Sharpe's handwriting wherein he makes comments on numerous passages.

Holding and reading this particular book is a direct connection to the prior generation to which these men belonged.

Ramon

Thats quite a find Ramon. Phil Sharpes notes must make fascinating reading alongside General Hatcher's Text.

Jim
