I have a era marked p14 that has been demilled by sticking a pin through the barrel, the rest of the rifle looks to be in decent shape. I was wondering if the barrel can be repaired, or are replacement, new, used barrels available in 303, a conversion to 3006, or just get rid of it. I would have to have any barrel work done for me. What are the options on parts availability, or what do you suppose it is worth as it is. Thanks for any answers.

Don't "repair" the barrel as it can't be done safely. Made to work..yes. Ever to be trusted? No way.
There never were any replacement P14 barrels so finding one will be a take-off if you're lucky. There are a lot of people out there looking to replace shot out tubes.
Conversion to a practical 30-06 is a no-go. They had to lengthen the opening and shorten the 'ears' when they changed over to the M1917. That's one of the reasons the rear sights don't readily interchange. The P14 has a noticably taller ladder which overhangs on a M1917. You would need a new bolt body and extractor too when going from a rimmed to a rimless case.

Consider having it sleeved as a .22
Either that, or it's a wall hangar :(

The problem with sleeving it to .22 is finding a .22 bolt.
Unless you are takling about a centrefire .22

There are ways around that too. Ofcourse, that's more gunsmithing and more $$

Midway is listed as a supplier but I can't find the barrel on their site.
CMP has them at $190. Not cheap but probably worth it considering you probably didn't pay allot for the gun....right?

Just be sure your gunsmith makes a relief cut at the shoulder before attempting to remove that Eddystone barrel. They had a tendancy to over torque and, as discovered with the M1917, rebarreling might lead to more serious stress cracks in the reciever.
Great to hear that Criterion is providing 303 barrels. That's something that's been long overdue.

The reason they were very tight was the barrels were installed by machine instead of a guy with a barrel wrench. Good advice on that relief cut since the old barrel is toast in any case.

Yes, and others have done that and CRACKED the recievers. including the government. A relief cut is just insurance, and any gunsmith can accomplish that.
