Greetings, (Ran this in the other forum then noticed CSP was up again)

So I have an L42A1 that Im planning to shoot next week in a vintage rifle shoot. The problem is its sighted in for 100 yards(which is the limit of the local range) but the shoot is two hundred yards. This is iron sights so I took the scope off and found that I had to set the sights on a bit more than 200 meters for the 100 yard range. Can anyone give me useful suggestions on the proper correction? Getting to the 200yard range early is not a good option. Does anyone know what the cross over trajectory point is for this rifle?

Thanks/Robin

Don't forget that the British army teaches a center hold, not a 6 o'clock hold. They had various targets. I duplicated one of them by covering the bottom half of a normal bull with white paper. Then the sights were pretty close to right.

This does not help your problem with your rifle I know. I can tell you that a particular No 4 in my safe was sighted in for 200 yds, 6 oclock hold, std US bull and sits there with the sight really close to 400 yds.
