City of Life and Death

Anyone else seen "City of Life and Death"? It's a 2009 Hong Kong/Chinese produced film about the 1937 Japanese siege and occupation of the Chinese capital city, Nanking, during the Second Sino-Japanese War. Very real and graphic film, and from a technical standpoint, very well done. They did film it in black and white, though, and it also has subtitles. A very good film.

I'll put it on my list. Glad to see something out of China, even if it is Hong Kong. The Chinese were part of the problem with the denial of Japanese crimes. The communist preferred to blame the Nationalist instead of the Japanese for political reasons.
