1917 Colt 45-ACP Barrel.

Hello Board Members;
The Barrel in a 1917 Colt 45-ACP looks like a sewer pipe from shooting corrosive ammunition, a
new Barrel has been purchased (OEM with all Markings) how can it be properly replaced?
BTW- Gun Parts has these barrels altho Pricey.
