Or… “how to commit professional “suicide” in the U.S. Army.

“How many more men must die in support of a mission that is not succeeding and behind an array of more than seven years of optimistic statements by U.S. senior leaders in Afghanistan?” Lt. Col. Daniel Davis asked in a four-page essay titled “Truth, Lies & Afghanistan: How military leaders have let us down.”

Here's the article:

It's a sad situation. Reminds me of another war in which I participated.

His career is toast. He'll never get any promotion now.

At least he's telling the truth and not just the crap everyone wants to hear. Promote him immediately, I say.

According to the article it looks like he got the "Army" blessing on it. He may not suffer if he doesn't name too many names. I doubt his career is his #1 priority. He seems like he is mor esoldier than politician unlike some.
