Guys,
Would like to sell my M1D. I built this rifle quite a few years ago when AIM Surplus had Danish return kits for a short time. The kit is 100% USGI. When Orion 7 installed the barrel they measured the TE at 2.
Receiver: SA 819,XXX from CMP. It's a grade B so it has some shallow pitting, cosmetic only and it's not that bad. Would benefit from repark but I personally don't mind some evidence from it's former glory. I specifically requested a WWII era Springfield because I thought that would be most authentic for an M1D.
Barrel: Drawing number D7312555 MD 34 S A 11 52 followed by tiny crossed cannon. Bore has strong rifling, fairly shiny with slight frosting in the grooves. Bullet test as shown in photo.
Bolt: 6528287-SA with A11 under the dwg number. Electropenciled serial on the bolt that I think could be buffed off with some emory paper if so inclined.
Op Rod: 6535382 SA Promenant receiver engagement tooth.
Gas Cylinder: has an R on bayo lug
Gas Plug: P with a hexagon
Cylinder Lock: Not the humped kind, bevel on top leading edge.
Rear Sight: DRC marked, later kind.
Trigger housing: D28290-12-SA
Safety: I can read "I-..." I suppose it must be I-H but the H is hidden by trigger housing.
Hammer: C460008-1 W.R.A.
Trigger guard: the stamped kind with barely flattened ears and the milled kind of rear hook.
Flash Hider: "HIDER FLASH M2" and "THE HARD MFG. CO." with triangular logo. This is the stamped kind, not the milled kind that are sometimes faked by using a grenade launcher.
Scope: Excellent M84 from CMP. No Danish crest. Serial 47111. Excellent bluing. Sunshade works like it should. Caps are perfect, click closed smartly. No fogging, maybe a couple of tiny black flecks. Crosshairs intact.
Rubber eyepiece and scope mount: Repros from Sarco. Mount seems solid enough.
Stock: Walnut, all pieces match pretty well. Open box SA under cheekpiece, serif P inside a circle. No cartouche near receiver heel, as it should be. No screw holes. Cotton web sling included.
Cheekpiece: MRT 2 52 USGI from CMP. All brass eyelets intact. A 1" cut under cheekpiece but I don't think it's cut through.
Function: It ran 100% the few times I shot it. I shot it VERY few times with the scope because I don't want to risk damaging something that I can't replace or fix. I never did any serious target work with it but it seems as accurate as one can want from a service grade rifle. Remember that the M1D is not a match-prepared weapon.

This is a kit rifle, but it's pretty dang close to authentic. Would make a nice shooter for you guys with the papered rifles too pretty to risk damage. I'm in W. PA but willing to ship for actual costs including insurance. Thanks for looking!
