Hi guys. New to gun forums in general. Looking to increase my shooting and collecting knowledge of military weapons, mostly U.S. What is the best way to get answers without driving someone nuts? Recommended books? Primary interests are in 1903 and Garand history, understanding what makes components "correct", reloading for such, etc.

Ron - I'm in Mattawan, just west of Kalamazoo.

Anyone have a particular MUST BUY book for good 1903 research/history? Or is it more like a library of books? Could anyone let me know their opinion? Smae question for Garands. Thanks!!

I reccommend a trip to the North Store-you haven't lived until you walk into a room full of Garands-S/F

The other recommendation would be to join the Garand Collectors Association. Don't be afraid to ask questions here, those in the know are more willing than most places to give you an answer and the correct one the first time.

Welcome aboard!

I just did about 6 weeks ago for the first time. Wow! Got a gently used SA from the 50's. Awesome place. I'm hoping they get some different things soon. Like a USMC marked .22 that I see mentioned on the forum. Semper Fi!
