I won an early production Remington 1917 on an on-line auction today and wondered if 4 digit rifles command any particular premium.

I recall that the first Winchester 1917's had issues...any for the early Remingtons?

The pictures weren't great, nor was the description, but I bid accordingly.

I have Reminton 2108 and Winchester 6112. Always looking for a four digit Eddystone.

The Remington finally arrived last week.

Kinda a collection of parts...Remington receiver, Eddystone barrel and a collection of the small parts. Nice looking original finish stock.

Bore looks good and gauges a "2" on the CMP muzzle gauge. Bolt does not close on a US Ordnance field gauge.

Range report to follow.
