Anyone know where I can get a repair on the micro-adjustment (rear mount) of my "new-to-me" Targetspot? The windage knob requires a leather-wrapped grip with pliers to turn! --Jim

Jim, Is this a super target spot with external mounts? If so did you loosen the binding serew above the windage knob?

Sorry for the late reply, but I just got this computer up and running again! The power supply crapped out on me!

Yup . . . the Super Targetspot.

I did try the loosening of the binding screw . . . . it wasn't the problem.

I fixed it by a drop of oil on the windage screw, and it DID fix it.

Seems the quality of the late Lyman STS's is NOT of the quality of the earlier versions! (What item IS these days, eh?).

I'm not very happy with this scope . . . in addition to the windage knob problem, the quality of the fit is NOT up to par!

The interface of the Pope rib and the forward mount is VERY SLOPPY! I have to rotate the scope within the "keyway" to get any semblence of accuracy from the rifle/scope combination! I bet I can rotate the scope about a HALF-DEGREE of rotation WITHIN the "keyway" . . . . Truly unacceptable for a scope of this caliber!!

Thanks for your interest! --Jim
