NASCAR Fans

To everyone who considers them selves a fan of NASCAR, I respectfully request that you e-mail Nascar.com and respectfully request that they dispense with the National Anthem being sung without music. The Olympics is music only. The military does not use vocal alone rendations. Most national and International gatherings play the anthem but do not use a semi talented individual ..RoseAnn Barr.. to render the music without vocal accompanyment. Please join me at every race to use a local high school or college to present the National Anthem at all NASCAR races. Thank you.

The lyrics may American but the music is English. I see no problem in singing Key's poem stand alone. In the 60's we sang our National Anthem every morning without music following the Pledge of Allegiance. Only then could school start.

NASCAR begins each race with a prayer, the presentation of colors, a rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, and a fly over by a branch of America's armed forces. NASCAR fans either listen or sing along with hands/hats over their hearts and not many will begin cheering before the Anthem is finished.
Name another American national sport that hails both God and Patriotism the way NASCAR does.
