Question about 1911 Keyhole magazine

First I have to say, it's d%mn good to be back! I hated that new site.

Anyways, I was talking with a buddy of mine the other day and he noticed I had an early 1911 keyhole mag laying in my parts bin. He about had a heart attack when he saw it. He said those things are worth a ton. Is he correct?

I've never seen one sell. So I'm not sure what they are worth. Heck if it's worth what he was saying, I might have to sell it and buy some ammo or another gun! :) My funds to buy new guns have been depleted lately so maybe this will give me a boost. Thanks guys!

He said they were about $300-$400. Which I thought was a little high, but that is what he said. I know they are hard to find, but are they worth that much?

If it's a pretty nice mag, I would think $200-$250 would be more in line. I don't think they are as hard to find as a Springfield, and there have been plenty of lanyard loop Springfields sell under $300 lately. What a Springfield mag without a lanyard loop is worth, I don't know, since Iv'e never seen one sell!
