1970's Colt AR15

I had one, sold it, may get it back.
Had bolt assist, bird cage type flash suppressor, all Colt...EXC cond. Worth much? It breaks open at the receiver.
Im in CT, with AWB..its class D felony, but the guy I sold it to never registered it..what shall I do...I sold it to him for $400.00, 27 years ago...can I get it back, and own it?

Considering it wasn't registered in CT in 1994. It is now contraban. Buying it would be a Class C felony from what I read in the "State Laws PDF available here:
