I have been offered a very nice P 38 Walther. What research I have done shows it is an AC 43 stacked line code. All the nos. match that I can see. The mag is marked with an eagle but no numbers. The gun also has brown plastic grips. The bore is excellent and there are no import marks visable. It is a very nice blue with about 80-90% finish. In the world of P38s how rare is this model. What would a fair market value be? Thanks Truman

1943 happened to be the highest production year for Walther, and the stacked ac/43 was the most common marking. I would estimate the value of an 80 to 90 percent ac 43 to be either side of $550 depending on actual condition.

An excellent gun, no matter what the value. Walther was still maintaining high quality in 1943, although the finish wasn't as nice as the earlier ones.

A nice gun, and if the price is anything reasonable, grab it.

The finish is probably better than the flash shows. I paid $450 for it from a guy I drink coffee with in the mornings. He knew I had an interest in militaria and wanted it to go to someone that would appreciate it. Amazing how sometimes the hobby finds you. Thanks Truman

Based on that pic you did very well for $450. On one of the auctions, it would have been at least $150-$200 more. Enjoy it and congrats!!
