Perhaps this has been heavily covered..if so please forgive me.
Note WRA 1108196, has the second notch in the receiver rail, presumably for bolt removal?
Why isnt this second notch in my Underwood carbine, SN 1422508? Unless the Underwood is earlier? Type 2 stock.
However the WRA 1108196 is spring tube, and type 2 stock.
My Inland SN 208499, with type 1 stock, has 2 notches as well. Its early 1943. Did Underwood not add the second notch?
