Help!!!
I am in the process of trying to save a sporterized 1917 Winchester, I am looking for a all the stock metal and a buttplate. I know it will end up a mix-master but I do have a later dated (than the receiver) Winchester barrel.
The receiver is un-molested and comlete.
I've looked at all the supply parts sites and all there are are bits and peices but no one has all the parts.
I have access to de-chroming parts so chromed parts are an option.
The correct stock and handguards can come later, does anyone have replacements?
Thanks
Gary

I might have a front band I could give you, IF I can find it. I tried to put it on an 03 once.... drove me nuts til I figured it out!

I was unable to deliver. The part was not in the bin with my few remaining 03 parts. It's somewhere, but we've moved and it may be a while before (if) it surfaces. Sorry to disappoint you....

Have you tried Poppert's gun parts?

Click on "Parts" then scroll down to "U.S. Enfield Model 1917", then hit enter.
I may have some, think I have a buttplate. Will have to dig out parts to look.
Believe I have a Trig Guard.

Go to Springfield Sporters. They will pick parts for you for 50% extra. W parts are the hardest to source and go for more $$$ on ebay. I know, I sold a handful from my R 1917 and they more than paid for all of my R parts I purchased to complete the restoration.

I ordered all the W marked parts Springfield Sporters had, I finally got the 1917 here and found the original bolt is gone and replaced with an Eddystone. I guess it will be a mostly Winchester 1917 which will be fine.
I just noticed the follower has been modified to close without having to depress it (they radiused the back edge) so that is the last part I'll need, I'll make another to SS next week and finish things up.
Thanks everyone, when I get it together I'll post a few pic's
