My Recent Posts Thought perhaps somebody on this forum could help me out.
S&W hand ejector, first model, within the five thousand serial number on the crane.
Marked on left side of barrel "not english made" with three stamps, also has on left side front behind barrel the same "not english made"
stamp under an imperial stamp with center "BV". The three on the barrell are Dv, GP, and Np.
left side of frame at top back in the crown over 26 over E. Above all of that is the broad arrow.
It was converted to .45long colt.
Here is the question.
On the backstrap stamped in is the name Capt. R.W. Reid. Scratched into the wood on the bottom of the handgrip is WR Brown.
I would like to find out what information I can on either of these two individuals, and in particular, Capt R.W. Reid.
