Long term storage

If you wanted to store firearms long term and or bury some just how would you do it and keep them in a protected state? PVC pipe? seal a meal vacum sealer after a good cleaning and oil or some grease? Ammo storage, the same except for the oil and grease? Just wondering is all.

PVC is pretty popular. Seal one end and threaded collar with a threaded cap and rubber gasket or O-ring on the other end. Many sizes available and impervious to soil and water unlike metal containers. Just remember bury horizontally. Anything placed vertically in the ground is near impossible to retrieve without tearing it up.
